Zoltan Bathory has unveiled further details about Five Finger Death Punch’s new album, Got Your Six, and says that it’s “more uptempo” than previous efforts.
The Las Vegas metallers will be releasing the follow-up to 2013’s two-part The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell series on August 28 this year, and Zoltan has spoken out about the upcoming full-length, which was produced by Kevin Churko.
“It’s a little bit more uptempo,” the guitarist tells Billboard. “There was a conscious effort that, ‘We don’t want to have too many slow songs,’ you know? We wanted a little bit of an uptempo record. It’s more faster and mid-tempo songs.
“I think it’s coming from the live shows, yeah,” he adds. “When you’re playing live shows you feel the energy of the crowd. It’s the high-energy and midtempo songs that make the audience move and connect. You can drop your little ballads here and there, but we know what people like, and when we started everybody said, ‘Yeah, we need more of those [uptempo songs].’” What do you think?
